O.C.S.  design and realize the best solutions  for any  kind of mould , improving   techniques while projecting and manufacturing their tools  as well as testing new ones to  make the most out of  use and life of each mould , thus  sensibly cutting down  the compound waste.

Our production range   covers  moulds for the manufacture of  rubber , solid silicone and liquid silicone ( LSR )  seals, gaskets and parts.

Type of mold

CLOSED INJECTION MOULDS

Mould installed on horizontal and/or vertical injection press machines. It is used to obtain large production outputs since it is automatically working with no need of an operator.

COMPRESSION MOULDS

Mould to be installed on vertical injection press machines. It is mostly used to mould small quantities of parts made of costly compounds. The compound is manually loaded on one of the two platens and it is then compressed during the press clamping phase.

INJECTION / COMPRESSION MOULDS

This mould is installed on vertical injection press machines. It is also knows as “open injection mould” and it works in a similar way to the compression moulds, with the only difference that the compound is injected when the mould is still open (approx. 10 mm). When the quantity of the required compound is reached, the press machines shuts. The difference with an injection mould lies in its lack of injection runners and flash gates.

DOUBLE MOULDS ON 3 PLATES / SANDWICH

Featuring the same advantages of the double moulds, they can be installed on any injection press machine without using the pole.

MULTI-NOZZLE MOULDS – 4 TO 50 NOZZLES

For Cold-Runner Blocks (CRB)
This type of mould can improve the moulded part quality; it cuts the rubber waste sensibly down and allows the increment in the number of cavities by 60% if compared to the standard mould technology.

MINI / PILOT MOULDS

They can be installed on “horizontal injection mini-press machines”.
They are the perfect answer when it is necessary to mould small parts made of costly elastomers, thanks to the “reduced runners” technique. And thanks to their small sizes, their movements, maintenance and inspection during the moulding process are made easier and they are the best solution when sampling is required.
Since a project timing is often an extremely critical factor, O.C.S. have the ability to make prototype mould cavities in-house and as many as planned by the project. Using the same plating that will be used in serial production for the definitive mould we replicate – as closely as possible – all the features of the final tool.
O.C.S. understand what is required to transition successfully from a prototype to serial production: this implies that it is knowledge and experience that can turn a prototype into a benchmark for the production of perfect rubber parts all over the world.

COLD-RUNNER BLOCKS- 4 TO 50 NOZZLES

O.C.S., in co-operation with a partner company, design and manufacture the CRB necessary for our multi-nozzle moulds which can be installed on any injection press machine type.
